How the service works

Skilledpeople.com exists to help people with good work experience and know-how find work opportunities and stay economically active. Typically, people registering to find work on our site have at least 10 years’ occupational experience but many have more than 30 years’.

You can easily see the calibre of the candidates already registered on our site by using the Quick Search at the top of this page.

Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds ranging from people who have always provided administrative support within companies to those who have been directors and consultants.

A growing number of new members have worked for many years in the public sector but are now looking at transferring their skills into the private sector.

We encourage employers to interview and recruit experienced people because we strongly believe people with extensive experience have qualities not found in more junior staff. They are more likely to:

  • be more reliable
  • require less training
  • become productive faster
  • be able to mentor and support other staff

As a Jobseeker registering with skilledpeople you will follow six steps to find new opportunities:

1. Register and complete a detailed profile of your experience

2. Upload a CV as part of your registration process

3. Validate your email address to finalise the registration process

4. Login and go to your personal Admin Area

5. Conduct detailed searches for jobs listed on the site from your personalised Admin Area; set up automatic email alerts; update your profile and monitor jobs you have applied for

6. Apply for jobs quickly and easily using a two click process

The service is totally FREE for jobseekers. Once registered your details can be searched and viewed by prospective employers. If your skills match their requirements they will contact you direct to arrange an interview. It is that simple.

Your membership of skilledpeople.com will stay live until it is cancelled by you. Up to that point we will send you updates and information if you have given us permission to as part of your registration.
