Purpose of the position

To provide personal, practical, social and emotional support to people in their own homes, in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. The services provided by our Support Workers is that which would normally be undertaken by a Senior Care Assistant and must not include tasks which would normally be undertaken by a qualified nurse.

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will already have experience as working as a Care Assistant or Support worker.

Our Support Workers much be very well presented and have excellent verbal communication skills. They should have an aptitude for care and have some interests that would appeal to our clients, as social interaction is key.

Our clients help select the Support Worker they wish to use based on mutual interests and care needs. We then keep you consistently with the same clients each week.

You must be willing to work one in three weekends when required and help to cover other Support Workers absence when necessary.

Our clients live in Central London (areas such as Westminster, Hampstead, Chelsea, St John’s Wood and Camden). We offer support and companionship, personal care, physical assistance, well-being, specialist care and dementia, with minimum one-hour visits. We also offer our services in hotels to people visiting London.

As a Right at Home Support Worker you should ideally live within the local area. You must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Enhanced DBS check is a requirement of the role.

Please note: We start Support Workers on a few hours per week and build from there to hours that suit you over your first couple of weeks. All our clients are privately funding their care so we need to see you in action and ensure your work is of the highest quality before offering larger hours.

We are currently recruiting for full and part-time vacancies, 15-40 hours per week.
